First in a series of three.

These videos were taken today to show a bit of what Nathan experiences during the day. Nathan is more attentive and less desperate in these clips than he often is. He seems to be wanting to communicate something during these bouts of squealing and crying, but has been unable to. There is no obvious trigger. There are times when Nathan is upset about things and is able to communicate the source of his frustration.
These episodes seem to occur more often in the evening. He may even have many a night. They are usually accompanied with silent tears. He once held my hands to his head when I told him he needed to show me what was wrong.
I have felt, in the past, that they may be due to his overall frustration. But, they usually just happen all of the sudden and have been continuing for some time. While this concerns me, it is not the only thing that I am seeking help with, but rather his overall regression.
(Note: We are seeing some return of language. With intense work. But, it still is not even close to where he was.)
Thank you.

  1. Elizabeth,

I'm sorry you are going through this. I still owe you some information regarding Caleb's regression and I'm sorry I haven't gotten it to you already. Here's the link to my blog that talks about the testing that we had done and the results of that that testing. (http://twospecialneedschildren.blogspot.com/2010/04/updating.html) I'll try and send you some more information about more specifics very soon!

Praying for you and your family!

    Cassandra
